Real motive behind Ruga, Cow Colony, Grazing Reserve revealed

There are strong indications that the agenda of the Federal Government to create special status for Fulani is to change the country’s demography ahead of future elections.

It may be noted that the controversy generated by the Federal Government’s attempt to introduce and compel Nigerians to embrace Ruga Settlement Scheme is yet to settle because it has been observed that the scheme was only suspended and not abandon.

Securing a radio station for the Fulanis may also be part of the agenda because recently, former Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, announced that the Federal Government has secured a radio license for Fulani Radio as a means to curb Herdmen/Farmers clash.

Prominent Nigerians have blamed the death of Mrs. Funke Olakunrin, a daughter of Afenifere leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, by suspected Fulani herdsmen who reportedly came out of nearby bush and attack her vehicle as experienced by many Nigerians on daily basis, but the Federal Government was quick to quote the Nigeria Police quoting the tragic incidence as a robbery attack, rather than finding the killers. This is not the first time the Federal Government will hastily come to the defense of herdsmen after horrible attacks on innocent Nigerians.

Speaking recently on ChannelsTv breakfast show, Sunrise Daily, a public affairs analyst/Economist, Mr. Katch Ononuju, stated that “Are we having settlements built for imported population? As we speak, no Nigerians from Kano, Sokoto or Katsina, applying to be moved from their current homes into bushes somewhere else. This does not exist anywhere in this country. What we see is a strategy to import population from the sub-region and use them to display and alter demography. If you watch President (Muhammadu) Buhari’s ways, you will see he employs ‘Takia’ (deception). I understand the Polaku very well.  First time, he said grazing reserve; the country said ‘No’. He came again and said ‘Cow Colony’, we said ‘No’. The only thing in this is ‘LAND’. People in Jos have been displaced due to conflicts. The indigenes were not returned to their land, why is government trying to import people to resettle on that land?”

Investigation by DODONDAWA.COM reveals that people do not trust the sincerity of the government in its land grabbing agenda for the Fulani herdsmen. It was concluded that Fulanis across the west and east Africa will come and settle down; during elections, those settlements will be churning out massive votes to promote Fulani agenda thereby undermining their hosts/indigenes.

The North has enough land mass to accommodate whatever policy the Federal Government wants to pursue for the Fulanis, but forcing the Southerners to give up their ancestral land for Fulani settlement should discontinue in the interest of peace.

It is time for the Buhari administration to treat all Nigerians as equal and improve on its main constitutional duty which is to provide adequate security for all Nigerians and the Nigerian territory against foreign invaders.
