‘Take Good Care Of Your Parents’, Lagos CP Advises Police Officers, Others

POLICE CLAMP DOWN ON TRAFFIC OFFENDERS IN LAGOS, IMPOUND MOTORCYCLES Following resolve to enforce traffic laws with particular focus on those driving against traffic, operating in areas prohibited for motorcycles(okada) and constituting nuisance in Lagos, the Lagos State Police Command in a special operation which began on 11th August, 2021, has contravened and impounded within one week a total of 76 motorcycles on Eko bridge Apongbon bridge, Alaka bridge intersection and other areas. The Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu, psc, FCIA, has directed that all the impounded motorcycles should be taken to the Lagos State Taskforce for further necessary actions. The CP warns, for the umpteenth time, all cyclists and motorists with unbridled penchant for violating traffic laws with impunity should desist or risk arrest, adding that the special operation would continue until sanity is restored on Lagos roads.

…’ TAKE GOOD CARE OF YOUR PARENTS’, LAGOS CP ADVISES POLICE OFFICERS, OTHERS

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu, psc has admonished police officers and others to take care of their parents within their resources while such parents are still alive.

The CP gave the advice in Ijebu-Ode yesterday 3rd September 2021 during the burial of his late mother, Alhaja Sikirat Adunni Odumosu who died at the ripe age of 88.

The CP who was in high spirit revealed that the only debt children owed their parents was to take good care of their aged parents, noting that such an act of kindness was not only rewarding to the children but also sanctioned by God.

The CP, while expressing profound appreciation to the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, psc(+), NPM, FDC; the Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon.Mudashiru Obasa for their condolence messages.

Similarly, the CP expresses on behalf of his family deep appreciation to the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu who in his capacity as the Chairman of Council of Traditional Rulers in Lagos State did not only commiserate with the Odumosu Family but also sent a representative to attend the burial ceremony.

In the same vein, CP Odumosu who appreciates all other very important individuals, groups, and associations for their condolence messages, said he thanked God that his late mother lived a fulfilled life and as such he should be congratulated for burying her and not to be pitied.
